Cub Scouts and the Rain gutter Regatta

Last Thursday night; our cub scouts in my ward had the raingutter regatta. Here 3 of our boys helped fill the gutters with water.

They had a marvelous time "racing" their boats in competition with each other.
It was very hard to not use their hands to help their boat go faster.

Our entire pack (minus 2) posing with their boats.

Opening day of the 2011 Session was a special day!

The first day of a new session at the capitol got started off right by having L. Tom Perry and his wife there to give the opening prayer. Note: tall men do like short women.
Here we are with Katie (Scott's intern for this session). Katie is Scott's niece. She belongs to his brother Lee.

This weekend was spent putting together our puzzle making skills. In all 4 puzzles were put together; including 2 at 750 pieces apiece.

Snow was very wet and compact; but still able to sled on. Perfect for making a snowman though.
Pictured above is Brianne, Reagan, Kenidee, Tim, Scott, James, Griffin, Kaden and the guest of honor was Philbert (the snowman)

Marie Elm Jenkins

On December 19, 2010 my sister-in-law Marie passed away due to cancer. She had a beautiful memorial and lots of beautiful flowers. She wanted to be buried here in Plain City with all the rest of the Jenkins clan.
Jared and Justin sit with their grandma (Marie's mom) and reflect on good times.
It was also a day to remember Kent and Wilma . Marie is buried next to them.
My guys (except Matt). I am so proud of my family and the great people they are.

Yummy Sugar Cookies

Just before Christmas; we made some finger licking good cookies. Thanks to Barbara; our trees look great.
I think more frosting got in mouths and not so much on the cookies.
Kaycee finally just dumped all the sprinkles on top so she could lick the good stuff.
Kate wasn't going to wait for the sugar to even get on the cookie! It was such a fun time.
